Beware of scams. Product Index never asks merchants to pay anyone directly before their website is verified, and it never contacts shoppers to demand payment. Only pay through the payment options shown on your dashboard.

How to Understand Product Prices and Offers

A price label is only one part of an offer. Currency, product variant, promotion conditions, delivery, and taxes can all affect what you ultimately pay.

Read the displayed and sale prices

Check which amount is the current price and whether a crossed-out or previous price is being shown for comparison. Confirm the selected product option before interpreting either figure.

Make sure you understand the currency and whether the offer applies to one item, a bundle, or a minimum quantity.

Look for conditions attached to an offer

Promotions may have dates, eligibility rules, codes, membership requirements, or limits. Read the merchant's terms to see whether the displayed offer applies to your order.

A listing may not include every checkout cost. Review delivery charges, taxes, and any other fees before placing the order.

Compare like with like

Use the same model, configuration, and quantity when comparing prices from different sellers. Include the final applicable costs and terms where the merchant makes them available.

Recheck the offer at checkout, since displayed prices and promotions can change.

In summary

Understand the currency, selected product, promotion rules, and checkout costs before deciding that one offer is less expensive than another.
